This Cookie Policy explains how POSHEAR ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies (together, "cookies") on the POSHEAR website and waitlist (the "Service"), and how you can manage your choices. This Policy supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them more efficient, and to provide reporting information. Local storage and similar browser-storage mechanisms work in a comparable way.

2. Our Legal Basis

In the EEA and the United Kingdom, non-essential cookies are only set after you have given prior, freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent (Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC, as implemented locally, and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). In the United States we provide notice and an opt-out where required by applicable state law.

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

  • Strictly necessary — required for the Service to function, including CSRF protection, secure form submission, and load balancing. Always active; cannot be disabled without breaking the Service.
  • Functional — remember your preferences (e.g., theme). Set only with your consent in jurisdictions requiring it.
  • Analytics — cookieless aggregate usage statistics via Plausible to help us improve the Service. We do not use cross-site tracking or advertising identifiers. Set only with your consent where required.
  • Marketing/Advertising — not used. We do not run third-party advertising and we do not place advertising cookies.

4. Third Parties

Some cookies and similar technologies may be set by third-party processors acting on our behalf, including Cloudflare (security and delivery) and Plausible (privacy-preserving analytics). These providers are bound by Data Processing Agreements and may transfer data outside the EEA under Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

5. Retention

Strictly necessary cookies expire at the end of your browser session or shortly after. Functional cookies are retained up to 12 months. Consent records (the choices you make) are retained for up to 5 years as evidence of consent under GDPR.

6. Your Choices

  • Use the in-product consent banner to set or change your preferences at any time. You can also email us at info@poshear.com to update your choices.
  • You can also delete or block cookies via your browser settings. Note that strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled without affecting the Service.
  • We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out where applicable.
  • U.S. residents in California, Texas, and other applicable states may opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" — see our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page (we do not sell or share, but the link is provided to honor your rights).

7. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. Material changes will be highlighted with a new "Last updated" date.
